Preserving the natural environment of the Taconic Plateau.
Our Mission
The Taconic Plateau Foundation’s mission (TPF’s) is to protect unique ecological areas for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations. TPF provides access for collaborative educational and research opportunities, while promoting environmental conservation and wildlife stewardship.
Conserve
The Southern Taconic Range is home to over 150 rare and endangered species. Our unique corner of New England is under increasing development pressures that threaten to degrade this precious habitat. TPF has made it a priority to protect the diversity and ecology of the plants, animals and natural communities that currently exist in the Taconic Plateau area and to promote wildlife management on our lands.
Access
We welcome groups such as schools, wildlife or birding clubs, and other interested parties to access and explore the plateau in ways consistent with our mission to steward and conserve the land responsibly.
Please fill out a request form with your name and contact information, as well as details of your suggestions and/or requests for field trips, guided hikes, speakers, or workshops.
